SCOPE OF SUPPLY

The project prepared by TEAMNETWORK includes plant and executive engineering referred to modification and completion of the existing plants and facilities, fabrication and supply of the dedusting filter complete with fan and sound-proof insulation, the connection piping between filter head and fan, the stack with intake point for installation of emission control device, by-pass for silos 1 and 2, the extraction unit from silo 2, and, finally, mechanical assembly of all equipment within TNW scope of supply as well as of the relevant accessories, such as compressed air production unit and dust transport piping. Assembly activities, which started at the end of November 2015, are due to be concluded by mid-January 2016.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

The first activity was the installation on the pneumatic transport piping of a 2-ways diverter unit DN200 allowing to feed the dust recovered from the ESP into the two storage silos 1 and 2, alternately. A bag filter, bunker execution, complete with piping and stack, was then mounted on the existing opening of silo 1 slab floor. Thanks to the installation of a connection pipe, silo 2 dedusting has been assured as well.

Special attention has been paid to the fulfillment of the environmental issues; to this end, it has been opted for the employment of a low RPM motor fan equipped with sound-proof insulation and silencer, in order to keep sound emission levels to a bare minimum. Furthermore the filter will also assure emission levels into the atmosphere below the limits permitted by legislation. Conversion of silo 2 (in concrete) has implied the internal application of a metal cone DN8000/1200 x h5800 and relevant supporting metal structures, with the purpose of distributing the stresses produced by the new arrangement to the existing structure of the reinforced concrete silo.

As regards extraction of the dust and its subsequent transport to the mills, a pneumatic “transporter” will be installed; this equipment is similar to the one already installed under silo 1 for optimizing spare parts handling and purchase.

The client has also designated TEAMNETWORK to issue the CE certification of the plant, with assumption, by Teamnetwork, of final manufacturer role.
