First phase
Pre-assembly of the lower housing, between the second and third base of the furnace, on special runners for the future transfer to the place of destination.
During this phase, all the high pressure pipes on the machine were produced and the interconnections between the two modules and with the hydraulic control unit were prepared.

Second phase
Transfer of the modules and assembly of the upper housing in loco.
Clearly, this phase follows numerous other working activities as specified here below:
On 12-01-08 the demolition phase of the outer parts of the existing cooler started. After 36 hours of cooling, the actual demolition of the grate started, as did the excavation for the new tunnel. Considering the extremely limited period of time, large mechanical means were used, with shears that could cut through very thick metal girders. When the excavation was finished, the concrete works, consisting of the lengthening of the tunnel, designed with the floor slab and walls cast on-site, whilst the floors were prefabricated outside the works so that they would be mature enough to support the weight of the new Politrack, even a few days after they had been laid (and after being opportunely propped). After finished the building works in 10 days as planned, the pre-assembled modules were transferred to their final position. This was followed by the assembly of the upper housing, the positioning of the ventilators and the hydraulic control unit and the assembly of the relative interconnections.

At the same time, work was started on lengthening the underlying conveyor which is to receive the clinker. After the top part of the machine had been assembled, the fettling installation phase was started, which was done with spray casting for the tunnel and vibrating casting for the area of the loading shaft and the floor. Lastly, the IKN crusher, modified with the addition of a fourth roller and with the relative seals, was assembled. The last phase of work began with the assembly of the
gangways and the completion of the system relative to the assembly of the transport of the clinker dust from the filter and cooler. The system was delivered to the customer one and a half days in advance of the contractual dates for the dryrun tests, which immediately gave positive results.
