A snow-covered Moscow played host to more than 200 representatives from over 24 countries from central/eastern Europe for the 17th conference “Industry and the cement market”.
The growth of the Russian economy, thanks to its natural resources, offers a market of great capacity of around 74 million tons per year, as these are factories that go back to 1950s;only 9 of these factories have been modernized so that they have a production capacity of around 10 million tons per year.
The big Russian groups have realized that the key to competitive development, which has the Chinese as their main clients, will come about through modernization, and this has been the beginning of big investments, many of which slowed down and others were even suspended by the economic crisis which has hit the world since last year. In this climate of economic recession which is anxiously waiting for the opportunity to re-launch the cycle of investments and growth, the policy of the Teamnetwork group is and remains not only to safeguard our consolidated markets in a professional way but also to explore and conquest new ones making the most of the transversal skills of our Team which allow us to be protagonists in the role of General Contractor.
